Where is the army of God?

A few years ago, I received a vision that suddenly resurfaced in my mind these days. I share it with ease in this article hoping and praying that it will challenge you.

There was an army, dressed in a current uniform, which was resting on a plain. All the soldiers were seated. Some soldiers were playing cards, another was cooking eggs in his helmet, and another was putting on his sock. None of them had a weapon. As a camera turns to another plane, I saw that to the right of the army, there was a small desert hill (a kind of dune) that hid the soldiers sitting behind what was going on behind them. had no sentry. Behind this hill was an army covered with iron cuirasses, as in the Middle Ages, well armed even though its weapons were old. It was well arranged in several squares, in order of battle, and each square was a rider, a leader, wearing a different banner. This army was ready to attack the army at rest. It should be noted that all the squares were next to each other and all ready for the attack at the same time.

The army at rest represented the Church of today. The army ready for the attack, it was the army of darkness that always remains the same and has always used the same means to destroy the people of God: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and pride of life (1 John 2:16). The Church today was unaware of the danger and was not armed to face the fight that was to follow.

James 4.7 - but make war on the Evil One and he will be put to flight before you.

In meditating on this vision, here are the thoughts that have come to our hearts:

The Church which forms the people of God and their army is not aware of the imminence of the well-ordered attack of the enemy. She thinks herself safe and at rest, while the enemy is at the door. It lacks two very important things: the shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6.16-17). Jesus Himself will wonder about this lack of faith by saying: But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth? (Luke 18.8) In the same way, many children of God do not know or no longer the Word which alone guarantees us to resist this attack which will not be a form of murderous persecution but which will be a domination by a strong spiritual oppression, and especially on France .

The soldiers who played cards were a group of believers who met but for futile things. What motivates the Church today to come together?

He who cooked the eggs in his helmet (image of salvation in Ephesians) used his salvation for his own belly (Philippians 3.19). What does the Christian do with his salvation?

He who stitched his sock did not know how to discern the weather. Ecclesiastes 3, verses 7 and 8 tells us: There is a time to tear and a time to sew ... a time for war and a time for peace. Can the Church of today know how far she is?

Ezekiel 3.17 - Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the children of Israel: so give ear to the word of my mouth, and give them word from me of their danger.

Why was there no sentinel or, like Ezekiel, a prophet? Because this army did not feel the need or the need. Because she did not imagine the plans of her enemy. Yet God establishes sentinels. But what is the Church doing? Does she put them on the hill? Is she listening to them when they cry solemn warnings? Do they follow their instructions and the words they receive directly from God? Unfortunately these sentinels are often considered disturbing and their message is often ridiculed.

Ephesians 6.17 - And take salvation for your head-dress and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Contrary to what one might think, Satan's army is well organized and disciplined. Each rider represents a prince of this world of darkness with the banner of his activity (eg division) and a horde of demons under his command. A few years ago, we had the vision of a big black cloud coming over Europe and especially France, a cloud that represented a terrible oppression of the enemy, even on the people of God.

To resist this attack, the Church is not ready! I speak in a general way, I know that communities are in the forefront in the prophetic domain, intercession and spiritual warfare. It may still be time to prepare but for that it is imperative to scream at God so that He fills, in his grace, the shortcomings of his army.

Let us discern the time we are and no longer live for ourselves!

I am convinced that the Lord is preparing an extraordinary awakening, but I am equally convinced that the enemy of our souls is ready for a large-scale attack. This is not a time of peace or rest. The "freedom" of the gospel will soon be restrained. May everyone return with all his heart to the author of his salvation: Jesus Christ.

The soldiers who played cards were bound by friendship, atmosphere and "brotherhood" but knew nothing of the unity created by the Spirit. Why do we participate in worship or any other meetings? Our first motivation should be love for God and the search for his face and presence! Let us gather to humble ourselves and seek help from Him.

Moreover, the assurance of being saved should not suffice us, let alone live as if life were due and we will be eternal on this earth. The immense grace of which we are the object should push us towards those who do not yet know our Savior to tell them of His love for the lost.

Let's listen to the prophetic voice!

Accept that God raises sentinels among his people. Let us be ready to listen to their warnings and follow their instructions.

Let's find the use of faith and the exercise of the Word!

Let's return to the study of the Word of God which is the Bible. It is from this Word that faith will be born (Romans 10.17). Adam and Eve did not resist at the moment of temptation because they questioned this Word. Jesus was fully victorious in the desert against the devil with this Word. Let's read it, let's meditate it, let's eat it, let's live it !!! I encourage you to read the articles "I'm hungry for your word" and "Psalm 1" that will encourage you to "dive" into the Word of our Lord and to hear him speak to you because, as one Servant of God "opening the Bible is opening the mouth of God".

Thank you for reading, examine and remember what is good (1 Thessalonians 5:19 to 21).

Be richly blessed.
